Build Your House on the Rock

I took these pictures of our sandcastle while we were at the beach last year.

Watching the waves come in and sweep it away made me think of the verse in Matthew 5....

'Therefore, If any man hears my words and puts them into practice he is like a wise man who built his house upon a rock. The rain came down, the stream rose, and the winds blew an beat against the house; yet it did not fall because it had it foundation on the Rock.

But anyone who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man...

who built his house upon the sand....


the rain came down and the stream rose,

and the winds blew and beat against the house,


and it fell with a great CRASH.

Let us remember the things Lord has taught us.

Only His words will hold us up during the storms that come our way.
