Our Maker

Have thine own way, Lord!

Have thine own way!

Thou art the potter, I am the clay.

Mold me and make me after thy will,

while I am waiting, yielded and still.

Have thine own way, Lord!

Have thine own way!

Search me and try me, Savior today!

Wash me just now, Lord, wash me just now,

as in thy presence humbly I bow.

Have thine own way, Lord!

Have thine own way!

Wounded and weary, help me I pray!

Power, all power, surely is thine!

Touch me and heal me, Savior divine!

Have thine own way, Lord!

Have thine own way!

Hold o'er my being absolute sway.

Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see

Christ only, always, living in me!

-Adelaide Pollard, 1907

This one of my favorite hymns.

I love the picture of Jesus being the Potter.

Sisters, let us let Him be the maker and shaper of our lives!
When we the clay try to make ourselves into something we don't get very far. Do we?

But when give our entire life shaping to Him,

not saving any part back,

only then can He make something beautiful out of us!!!

Beautiful song! I really like to sing this song. I want to be a vessel that shines with the brightness of his glory! He is molding and making me into something beautiful. Even though I sometimes feel like mud being washed in water! thanks for sharing.
