I just realized that I haven't shared any farm pictures with you all yet!
We have 11 goats. Four of which we are milking twice a day.
This year we had 4 kids born (one died).

Opal (big white goat) and her new baby Violet

L-R: Kate, Big Boy, Beatrix, Tasha and Pearl.
We also have a large flock of chickens.
They are getting quite old so soon we hope to order some chicks.
Sorry I don't have any pictures of them right now, but I'll post some soon!

Some of them are sitting on eggs right now so I hope we will have ducklings soon.
We have a garden also! This year we expanded it and added a sitting place, herb garden ( this is my favorite! I'm always looking for new herbs to plant!)
and also some fig trees, blueberry plants and a flower bed.
I'll share pictures of our garden project soon!

Thanks for taking the time with your farm pictures, I did not know you had these many animals... I am certain you have visited my "Blogs I Follow" and seen my daughters, and my other daughters and my son's blog-- they do more journaling of our farm animals than I do.
Thank you for sharing, Laura. I didn't know you had a farm! We have a cat named Opal. :-) It's a pretty name. I hope you are having a good week. Blessings!
Hello Laura! Just wanted to let you know you've been tagged on my blog. Would love to see your answers to this fun tag! Have a blessed day!
Great pictures! I could not imagine drinking a goat's milk does it taste similar to a cow's milk? How is studying to be a doula coming along? I would love to do that while I am in nursing school. I think it would really help to prepare me for midwifery. I am going to a state school (LA) and study nursing first starting in August then I will go for midwifery (GOD willing) which is a 3 year degree. I really feel Christ calling me towards midwifery and I really think I would enjoy working with expectant mothers. I am currently taking classes to be certified as an EMT-Basic so i might work on the ambulance while I am in college. I just cannot slow down that is how I came across the research for the doctoral degree. I am the type of person that is looking at the PhD requirements before I start the Bachelor's degree :) I move at 1 million miles a minute and am trying harder to slow down and live in the present. Whew! That was a pretty long comment..
Sending blessing your way,
Schy
Hi Laura,
I got your comment, Yes I can sell you some wool yarn, I don't mind sending it. The prices are $5.25 an oz. for lamb's wool and 3.50 an oz. for adult sheep wool.
I am going to dye it with natural dyes. Let me know if you would like to get some.
~Grace
