We just put them in not to long ago, so I don't think we will get much fruit off them this year.
This is view of the garden from the back
We are in the process of putting down gravel walkways, the black landscaping fabric is all we have done in some places. My brother and Dad have done a great job so far!
We like the gravel walkways best because it keep the weeds down and you can walk out there barefoot! We have terrible grass burs so the gravel helps t keep them down as well.
Oregano (the huge plant!) and Fennel (the feathery one)
We also have planted in the herbs garden: spearmint, lemon balm, bee balm, bay laurel, a rose that makes rose hips, several other kinds of mints, lavender, comfrey and parsley.

I'm hoping to get some more herbs soon!
This is a wonderful herb to grow!
It gets really big and is easy to grow.
And it makes pretty purple flowers too!

I really like working in the garden!
It is so refreshing to be outside listening to the birds, marveling over the lady bugs that took up residency on the pea plants, and just being surrounded by what the Lord created!
Do any of you have a garden planted this year?
What are you planting?
I like to hear about what other people are planting. It gives me ideas on what we might add. :)

Y'all have a really nice garden.we really don't have a garden, but i have a few plants in pots.i have bell peppers and cantaloupe and a rose plant.
What a lovely garden, Laura! We moved to our new home about 8-9 months ago so we're just starting to garden again. So far we've begun a flower garden in the front yard with marigolds, allysums, and a couple of lilacs. I'm hoping to start a square foot garden soon. It's a simple way to grow plants in boxes. I'll write about it on my blog once I get started! Hope you're having a lovely day, Laura!
Hi Laura,
I always enjoy reading you wonderful posts. Your garden is so lovely.
We used to have a garden, but it didn't turn out so well. We are going to start a new garden soon, though!
I have some marigold flowers planted right now, and I'm waiting for them to bloom. I will post pictures on my blog if they bloom... Hopefully they will! :)
Have a blessed day!
Your Sister In Christ,
Jenna
Lovely gardens, your work will be rewarded. I really like blackberries, we can find them wild here, and in good rain season they are especially plentiful... Your place looks lively.
It is exciting isn't it? I still can't believe it! Betsy is the third daughter in their family... She is precious. They are the perfect couple! I still can't believe that he's courting one of the Castleberries... We've all read there books for so long... Anyway, we're so excited....
BTW... Call me sometime when you get a chance.... We haven't talked in a long time!
Love you lots,
Lauren
Yay! I finally linked your blog on my blog... Love ya!
Lauren
