If you have a heart to help out Mommas:
~ I started a ministry using Preschool Activities In A Bag a couple of years ago. I really enjoy putting them together and I know it blesses the Mommas to receive them! To learn more go to http://www.activitybags.com/ or if you have any questions about doing this just leave me a comment. I’d love to tell you about them!
~ Another way to help out Mommas is to offer to take care of their other children when a new baby is born. This too is what I do as a ministry. I’ll go to their house sometimes a few days before the baby is born, usually when the momma feels like she is ready for some extra help. While I’m there, I will watch/play with the children, cook meals, help with cleaning or any other things that need doing. Once I ended up staying with a family a whole week, because they needed some extra help. So be ready to be a big blessing!

~You can also offer to help watch the children if Mom has a big project going on that she needs her full attention on. Like spring-cleaning, school planning, garden planning etc.
I put together a special baby-sitting box that I take with me when I go help out. It has craft supplies, games, books, puzzles and outside toys in it. It is a big hit with the children!

I didn't have as many ideas for this section. So, if you have any other ideas on helping mothers let me know!

Two are better than one they have a better return for their labor. You thoughts are very good. I think one of the most important things to do for "moms" is to give them of your time. Attentive Listening is something I have employed; when you are with a young mother whether one on one or on the phone or in a group, listen to what they are saying "to you", to another. They may say, "I have to get my laundry done tommorrow." If the friendship welcomes it, surprisingly show up the next day with your bag lunch and say, "I'm here to do your laundry- I have a bag lunch, so don't worry about me, I'll let you know when I'm done." Active listening helps us to learn to listen to another's needs without interferring and making them "make plans" or otherwise feel stressed toward hospitality when we arrive.
If you are young and you can't find a way you can help you can watch the kids in you'r church's nursery so that the moms can listen to the sermon.but you will need another person in the'r then if you need to go to the restroom or something you won't be leaving the kids by them self.
That is great that you help other moms out! Thanks for the good ideas!

Great posts! They've all been very well-thought through and give so many good ideas.
One thought I had for an idea for serving mommas was this:
Offer to do deep cleaning in the house. We mommas of little ones don't have near the time to do those things like dust in hard to reach places, reorganize closets and drawers, polish silver, clean appliances, etc. I did these things for mommas when I was still single and now know what a blessing it is to be on the receiving end! You could even make out a cute little coupon that is redeemable whenever the momma needs it most. I guarantee that it will be appreciated!
I have seen pride and prejudice but that is the only one.i think we are going to watch anne of green gables because all of my sisters like it and we were trying to find something that my 5 year old sister would like.thanks for commenting.you are such a great friend.
~God bless Hannah~
