Sweet Sister!!!

Baby Girl is getting so big!!!!
She has started walking and can say ma-ma and da-da....
She turned 10 months just the other day.
Where did the time go! :)

I love her sweet smile!!!

This is on e of my favorites!!

Such a sweetheart!

She loves playing with her beads....

I tried to do a vintage theme in these.

Found an old baby dress and used one of Mom's old quilts...
Isn't she too cute?!

I love her soooo much!!!
Very thankful to have her as a sister!

Random Things......

Wow!!! I can't believe how busy this summer has gotten!!!
You will have to forgive me if my posts are getting farther and farther apart, but it seems like the summer is the busiest time for me!
Does it get that way for you? :)
Here is a bit of an update so y'all know what we have been up to!
I have started my Doula courses and Aromatherapy classes back in full force, as well as canning a bunch of figs that our neighbor gave us, getting ready to get my drivers licence, going to see my Great-Grandma next week, getting ready for some of our sweet friends to visit this week-end, Dad's paperwork, and just regular life stuff........whew!
Baby Girl is growing up so fast....she has started trying to walk!!!
It doesn't seems like that long ago she was just born..:)
All of my brothers are doing good, been mostly working on their school alot (they school though the summer).
The littlest ones have been picking alot of tomatoes in our garden, very much of a blessing!
The older I get the more I'm finding out how to juggle many things at once!!! :)
I have also been working on the giveaway I'll be hosting soon!!
Got it all put together just need to take pictures and post them! ;)
It's going to be so much fun......!
These are some pictures that I took of the wind chime in our garden....
Isn't pretty?

I love the colors!!!!
Sorry this post is on the random side, I just wanted to catch you up on what has been going on in my life...
And if I don't post for a few days don't think I've forgotten about you all, not at all! I actually think about y'all alot, but just haven't found the time to write down my thoughts....
I hope you are all having a very fun, blessed summer!!!!!

The Answer!!!!

Thanks to all who guessed about yesterday's picture!!!!!
Most of you thought it was an aloe vera plant which is close because I think they are in the same family group. Anyway the picture was of a............

Century Plant!!!!!
This one is growing in my Grandma's yard.
It is called a century plant because every 30-40 years it blooms!
I know that is not a full century but it seems like it takes that long!! :)

When it blooms it sends up an extremely tall stalk....
When I took this picture with my brother in the stalk had grow up to 19 feet!
And in the next time we saw it was close to 30 feet up!!!!

This is a picture of the top.....
Looks a bit like asparagus. :)
Most Century Plants (or agave) will send up a stalk that is between 30 and 50 feet up.
When it has bloomed the entire plant dies.
I think it is a really neat plant, so I thought I'd share it with you!!!!

Trip Pictures.........

I had such a wonderful time on my trip to Minnesota!!!!! Learned a lot of new things about the Lord and what He has planned for me!

I was so blessed that the plane trip went smoothly (Thank you to all who were praying!)
We left the airport at 6am, so I got to see the sunrise from the plane!

A view of the sunrise out my window.........

Some of the fields we flew over on the way to Chicago.......
I thought they looked like a patchwork quilt. :)

On the way to St. Paul MN I flew over Lake Superior.
It is a little hard to see because of the clouds.......

While I was up there my friends hosted a mini missions training camp, which I attended.
It was such a great time!!!!
We got to spend a lot of time with the Lord, eat ethnic foods (we had Indian curry once that we got to eat with our hands!), fellowship, sleep in a tent and go without flushing toilets, computers, cellphones and showers (except for buckets) for a week!!!!!!
It was such a wonderful experience!

We also went on a lot of hikes down to the lake and to Itasca State park.
One of the hikes we went on we took at midnight down to the lake!!! The stars we so beautiful!!!

Here are some of the pictures I took while on our hikes.......

The Lady Slippers we beautiful up there!!!!!

This is the 16 story fire tower we climbed!!!!
The view from the top was breath taking!

The lake we hiked back to often..........

I'm not sure what these are, but I thought they were really pretty!
The were growing wild by the lake.

So many of the flowers were in bloom while I was there!!!

I love how the bark looked!!!
I think I took more pictures of it than the flowers! :)

So many ferns there.........

Minnesota is a beautiful place!!!!!

This is where the Mississippi River starts......

We were able to walk across it!!
After I stayed with my friends for 3 weeks I was able to visit on of my pen-pal friends for the first time!!! She lives in Wisconsin.
We were able to take a trip to the Mall of America, which was a lot of fun.
When I get my computer to load those pictures, I post them as well!!!!!
Over all the trip was such a refreshing time!!
Now that I am home I'm learning how to put into practice
all that I leaned there.
Please be praying for me as I sort out what the Lord has for me!!!
If you have any questions about the trip please ask I'd love to answer them!!!
